Texas Parks & Wildlife Foundation is the official nonprofit partner of Texas Parks and Wildlife Department, aiming to ensure that all Texans, today and in the future, can enjoy the wild things and wild places of Texas. Texas Parks and Wildlife Foundation has raised private funds to advance Texas’ proud outdoor traditions and conserve our state’s wildlife, habitat and natural resources since 1991 so that Texans can enjoy, explore, and be inspired by the lands, waters and wildlife of the state.

The Coastal Conservation Association is a non-profit marine conservation organization made up of 17 coastal state chapters working to conserve, promote, and enhance coastal resources for the benefit and enjoyment of the general public. Beginning in 1977 after drastic commercial overfishing along the Texas coast decimated redfish and speckled trout populations, the conservation efforts began in the Gulf Coast, Texas included, and expanded to the mid-Atlantic and New England by the mid 1990’s. The CCA’s purpose is to advise and educate the public on marine conservation in an effort to conserve and enhance for the benefit of future generations.

Those who wish to support the Coastal Conservation Association of Texas may join as a member, donate or give through various means such as gifting a membership, estate planning or workplace giving.

Bonefish & tarpon trust

 

The Bonefish & Tarpon Trust is on a mission to conserve, restore and enhance bonefish, tarpon and permit fisheries as well as habitats through science-based research, stewardship, education and advocacy. In collaboration with other institutions and governments such as Florida’s Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission, Belize, Mexico and the Bahamas, BTT has many ongoing and completed research projects and initiatives that have provided essential knowledge for conservation, leading to many tangible conservation outcomes.

Supporters of BTT can get involved in various ways such as making a contribution, attending events, participating in research, becoming a conservation captain, or word of mouth.

PROJECT HEALING WATERS FLY FISHING Inc.

 

Project Healing Waters Fly Fishing Inc. is dedicated to the physical and emotional rehabilitation of disabled active military service personnel and disabled veterans through fly fishing as well as associated educational activities and outings. Beginning in 2005 with therapeutic outdoor recreation for wounded military service members at Walter Reed Army Medical Center returning from combat in Iraq and Afghanistan, Project Healing Waters has expanded nationwide and established programs in such places as Department of Defense hospitals and across the Veterans Affairs Healthcare System.

PHWFF is based on the core pillars of compassion, accountability, excellence and community to build a community solely focused on healing and is supported by donation and volunteer opportunities.
